About Us

At Black Label Meat, we’re driven by a deep calling rooted in faith to deliver "Meat The Way God Intended" a mission that shapes every aspect of our family run ranch at the base of the Sierra Mountains. My journey began with a passion for the purest form of sustenance, hunting elk and deer with my bow to provide for my family. This reverence for nature’s gifts led me to get involved in raising cattle with the same integrity, offering a product that honors God’s creation while prioritizing the animals, the environment, and most importantly, your health. We view food as a literal investment into our bodies and our loved ones’ well being, and we’re committed to sharing this belief with those who care deeply about what they eat.

  • Why High Density, Regenerative Grazing?
Our cattle thrive under high density rotational grazing, a practice we’ve embraced since the beginning, long before "regenerative" became a trend. Unlike free range methods, this intentional system moves cattle across diverse pastures in tight cycles, allowing grass to recover and flourish. This process is carbon negative, sequestering carbon back into the soil at rates up to 1-2 tons per acre annually, according to soil health studies. By rebuilding soil organic matter, we enhance water retention, reduce erosion, and create a thriving ecosystem, proof of our stewardship over God’s land. This isn’t just trendy, it’s a foundational principle that’s defined our ranching since day one.

  • Aging Steers to 5-6 Years: A Superior Product
Most grass-fed beef in the U.S. comes from steers harvested at 12-30 months, but we age ours to 5-6 years. This extended growth on pristine, regenerative pastures allows for deeper marbling and richer flavor, resulting in a far superior taste and texture, think buttery ribeyes and tender sirloin caps that melt in your mouth. The longer life also boosts nutrient density, with higher levels of omega-3s, CLA, and antioxidants, making it a health powerhouse compared to younger, less mature beef. It’s a labor of love that reflects our commitment to quality over quantity, honoring the animal’s natural lifecycle.

  • A Hunter’s Heart and a Rancher’s Calling
Hunting with my bow is my purest connection to food, spot'n'stalking deer and elk to feed my family mirrors the care we invest in our cattle. Raising them with high-density grazing, minimal intervention (one vaccine, with a zero-vaccine goal), and no grains or additives is equally sacred. This faith driven calling, inspired by scriptures like 1 Timothy 5:8 (providing for my household), compels me to share this quality with others who value animal welfare, environmental health, and personal nourishment. Our beef, free of mRNA vaccines and synthetic inputs, stands as a testament to that mission.

  • Why No Glyphosate? The Negatives and Our Legacy
Since 1997, we’ve banned glyphosate from our ranch, a decision ahead of its time. This herbicide, widely used in conventional farming, is linked to soil degradation, water contamination, and potential health risks like cancer and gut issues, per emerging research. By avoiding it, we protect our cattle, our land, and your family, ensuring a pure product that regenerative practices alone can’t fully address. This legacy of purity, started decades ago, sets us apart in an industry slow to catch up.

  • Food as an Investment
We don’t just sell beef, we offer an investment in your health. Our 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef, aged to perfection, delivers a near perfect 1:1 omega-6:3 ratio, far better than the inflammation driving 20:1 in store bought options, reducing risks of chronic diseases like heart disease and autoimmune flare ups. How do you price that? For us, it’s priceless, but we’ve set fair rates to make this nourishment accessible, inviting you to join our faith filled journey.

  • Our Commitment to You
At Black Label Meat, we’re a family dedicated to sharing the finest beef with those who care about the animals we raise, the environment we steward, and the health you invest in. Whether through our subscription boxes (Variety, Lean Performance, Ground Beef) or bulk shares (Whole, Half, Quarter Cow), every cut reflects our calling. Join us in reclaiming real food, crafted with love and purpose.
